OBA December Meeting

       
	Nineteen visitors and members attended the short year-end meeting of 
the Olive Business Associatiion on December 10.
       
	Mary Hart, from U. City East, discussed the results to date of the 
Senior Response Team.  It continues to locate and assist older residents who 
are in need of help of all sorts.  This season of good well is a perfect time 
to hear of such good works in the U. City area.
       
	The Proposition K Committee for the recently voted Recreational 
Facilities is still holding meetings to develop Input Survey form 
information.  The group continues to ask for input from residents and 
merchants.   Special interests and needs are being located.  The Committee  
has asked Asian merchants and residents in U. City to present their own 
special interests and needs so the City can plan for them.
       
	Dan Savory, co-chairman, reported that the Olive merchants' directory 
is progressing well.  Decisions about the format are being made now.
       
	Lynn Rossel, co-chairman, announced that the January 14 meeting of the 
OBA will feature the manager of the University Post Office.  Merchants who 
have questions and comments about the mail and package delivery system should 
present them at the meeting.
       
	Holiday greetings were exchanged after the end of the formal meeting.  
Remember the date of the January meeting, January 14.  Location is the U. 
City Community Center.
       
	We hope the holidays were happy ones for the Olive Business Community.
