Two New Special Chinese Classes at St. Louis Modern Chinese School Children Chinese Class started last fall and designed for the children and parents of local American families. It has been successful. Adults Chinese Class started this spring. It is more tailored to the needs of local American adults to learn Chinese. The class focus on Chinese pronunciation system and daily Chinese conversations. Dr. Zhijun Mu is the instructor. She received her Ph.D. degree in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Illinois and has been an instructor and coordinator on Chinese program at Washington University for 7 years. The SLMCS school runs every Sunday afternoon at Parkway West Middle School on 2312 Baxter Rd, Chesterfield. Spring 2003 semester began on January 5 and will finish on May 11. The Children Chinese class is held between 1:30-3:25pm, and the Adult Chinese class between 3:25-5:00 pm. The tuition for each class is $140, plus a $20 registration fee.
