Frederick Gamchoon Wong

	General Wong attended the following military schools: the Signal School (Basic Course0, the Infantry School (Advanced Course),  United States Army Command and General Staff College, and United States Army War College    He also earned a B.A. Degree in Social Science and a M.A. Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Eastern Washington University. 

	General Wong's military career spans far and wide, beginning as a Cryptographic Officer (September,1964), to S-4 (Logistics) (December,1965), in 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC.   He served in Vietnam ( January, 1965 - March, 1967), came back to serve in the 4th Combat Support Training Brigade, at Fort Polk, LA (April, 1967-June, 1968), and went back to serve in Vietnam (July, 1968 - July, 1969).   After that, he went to Fort Benning for further training, and became an assistant professor of military Science at Eastern Washington University at Cheney, WA (September, 1969 - August, 1973).   He served in the U.S. Army while stationed in Germany (September, 1973 - June, 1976), and then in the U.S. (Kansas, August, 1976 - July, 1980).  While continuing his career in the U.S. Army, he rose in rank to be the Commander of the  2nd Brigade, 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized), Fort Stewart, GA ( July, 1987 - June 1989).  After one more tour of duty in Camp H. M. Smith in Hawaii and another in Fort Polk, LA, he became the Director of Officer Personnel Management Directorate, United States Total Army Personnel Command, Alexandria, Virginia (June, 1993 -August, 1995). 

	General Wong earned many honors, among them are following US Decorations. 
Distinguished Service Medal, Silver Star, Defense Superior Service Medal Legion of Merit (with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Bronze Star Medal with 2 "V" Devices Bronze Star Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), Purple Heart (with Oak Leaf Cluster) Meritorious Service Medal (with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters), Air Medals Army Commendation Medal(with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters),
