St. Louis Science Center CLOSED Thanksgiving Day The St. Louis Science Center, 5050 Oakland Ave., is closed Thanksgiving Day, Thurs., Nov. 27, 2003. The Science Center reopens Fri., Nov. 28, 9:30 am-4:30 pm. After an enjoyable Thanksgiving with families and friends, come visit the Science Center for a full weekend of activities. Experience what it's like to be part of the adventure in the OMNIMAX® theater with the "Great Adventure Series" featuring: Everest, Lewis and Clark: Great Journey West and Shackleton's Antarctic Adventure. Tickets are $7 adults / $6 youth and seniors. On Sat., Nov. 29, 10 am-4 pm, learn all about groundbreaking research, inventions and health-related products in the Health Fest 2003. Enjoy health seminars, interactive displays, special "kids area", health screenings and displays by vendors of health-related products and services. Roll up your sleeves and give the gift of life at a blood drive sponsored by the American Red Cross. Health Fest 2003 is a cooperative partnership with the Science Center and MOBIO. Health Fest 2003 is free. Participate in a unique Family Fun Weekend workshop. On Nov. 29-30 sign up for "Maple Seeds, Helicopters and Wind Tunnels." This workshop explores defying gravity with whirling and twirling.
