Tzu Chi gives more than $1,000,000 to families of California Wildfire Disaster

Southern California's wildfires have destroyed over 3,500 homes and burned 750,000 acres. Tzu Chi has already assisted over 2,700 families with emergency cash gifts of up to $500 per family in San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Ventura and San Diego Counties.

The "emergency cash gift" is part of Tzu Chi Foundation's family and emergency services program and is drawn from Tzu Chi's Charity Fund, which supports all charitable and medical service programs.
