FCC Children Enjoy a Magical, Sandy Evening

Recently, on a perfect summer evening many FCC members took to the "beach" at the Magic House in Kirkwood. Families with Children from China, St. Louis rented out part of the Magic House and its beach area outside for several hours on August 3rd.  Everyone had a great time. 

The children and their parents spent the beginning hour indoors on the first level of the Magic House exploring and playing with all the interactive displays. From the water table to the slides, to the toddler area, to the make-believe town, there was something for everyone. 

After refreshments in the gazebo in the rear of the Magic House, the children took over the special beach area by making sand castles and digging for seashells. This area was part of a special summertime interactive exhibit that the Magic House sponsored and included a large, detailed sand castle. Many of the children went home sandy and damp with newfound seashell treasures and a smile on their faces. It was a wonderful FCC summertime activity where ‘kids could be kids' ...together.
