"Scientists at the Center" in October at St. Louis Science Center

Learn about earth sciences and chemistry during "Scientists at the Center" in October at the St. Louis Science Center, 5050 Oakland Ave.  "Scientists at the Center" is a program that links visitors with experts and scientists in our community involved in a variety of science fields. 

October 11-12 - Earth Sciences Week  "Eyes on Planet Earth: Monitoring Our Changing World." Geoscientists are observing and measuring the Earth everyday.  From the use of GPS to measuring plate motions, to observing indicators of climate change, geoscientists constantly evaluate the Earth's present state and make predictions about how it will change in the future.  Explore the geosciences at the Science Center through hands-on activities in the Ecology and Environment Past Gallery. Take home items including the "How Can You Make A Model Of The Water Cycle?" and the "Ripples" seismic waves activity.
