T'ai Chi organizations from the St. Louis metro area and beyond will present a day of T'ai Chi activities at the Cohen Amphitheater in the beautiful Missouri Botanical Gardens on Saturday, April 5th, 2003.The day's festivities begin at 10:00 A.M. and offer a rare look at several different T'ai Chi styles, all in one location.
This event is just one of thousands happening internationally to demonstrate that humans can take an active role in maintaining health and managing stress in their daily lives by practicing this gentle moving exercise. St. Louis T'ai Chi teachers and their schools, along with the
Missouri Botanical
Garden and the Chinese Culture and Education
Foundation, have once again come together to bring you this event. They hope to surpass the success of last years event to which over 500 people attended.
The event begins at 10:00 a.m. with workshops by the various schools and some audience participation. At 11:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. there will be a brief presentation ceremony which will include both City and State proclamations declaring World T'ai Chi Day. There will be individual school demonstrations from 11:15 to 12:15.
The Garden has free admissions between 10:00 a.m. and Noon for St. Louis city and county residents.
